A family flees their cabin, set fire by attacking Indians.
TitleA family flees their cabin, set fire by attacking Indians.
Description"The Indians, in possession of one half the house, fired it. The persons confined in the other part of the cabin had now to choose between exposure to the flames, spreading towards them, or the tomahawks of the savages. The latter stationed themselves in the dark angles of the fence, while the bright glare of the flames would expose, as a clear mark, every person who should escape."
