              Miss City  Mi  May 22 1854 My dear brother Reubin Truly glad was I to hear from you on [page torn] my dear brother in this world, Oh you little know the joy and consolation it affords me to receive such letters from you, I am so much gratified to hear of your church affairs, Oh that I could once more join in that Christian band, once more bend my poor feeble knees in prayer, Once more raise my voice in praise to Him, the great Giver of all our mercies, in that Church where you all meet so happy, But this I must not look for, Must not indulge in the thought, for Ibby is now getting too old, to move about much from one place to another.
