Miss City Miss May 2d 1846 Dr Vilet I recd your letter some time a go I was delighted to hear from you & to hear every thing in your letter about our old friends good prospects &c I hope you have had a more pleasant spring than we have had it has been- verry cool the spring has been verry backward I am doing better than -I expected wen I was there from what I heard I am keeping house by my self with my little Boy & growing chickens for my young Boss he treats me just as he always did I do not see any difference in him tell Broth Rub I want him to write me all the news & tell me all about the church I hear that there has been some fuss I want to know all about it give my best love to him & Bro John & his wife there is a methodis preacher here & an old Baptist & a mighty good old man & good preacher so all tell me but I have never got out to hear him but if the lord spars me I am going soon give my love to Mrs Ware and all the family
